Connected productivity

Good article on Web Worker Daily about multitasking – good, or not?

What is multitasking, exactly? Doing a lot of things in a short period of time? Not a new concept – talk to any parent, and the more kids, the more multitasking. But nothing beats the one-on-one to really stay in synch.

You need to have both.

If you’ve got so many things on your list that you find yourself jumping from one thing to the other all day long…well, you’ve got too many things on your list. Period. Too delicate a balance to keep up. Sometimes the world is going to demand that you stop, just stop, and focus on one thing and one thing only. And if you can’t do that without making a mess of all the rest, you need to take a good look at just what you’re trying to accomplish. Is it quality, or quantity?
